anybody else read Rob Siegel's article on the great white 6 speed?

fantastic read... I can surely relate. Talked myself out of buying many cars. Some that I regret not buying also!
 
Yes that was great. Described the feeling of the regrets very well, some of mine linger, mostly they turn to relief.
 
there's a silver 850i on BAT right now with a 6 speed. Rob are you looking at it ... its a bit more expensive, around 10k
 
Great read, I learned a lot! Must get more info on the six speed adapter plate. :) E39's are a dime a dozen.

I never knew that the 850 doesn't have a B pillar. I also didn't know how rare the 850csi was. There was one for sale in Seattle earlier this month, listed at $44K.

Rob is quickly becoming the next Peter Egan.

Dan Neil from the WSJ is also a favorite of mine, but his style and subjects are completely different. I usually have to look up the definition of a word or two in each of his reviews.
