I want to buy some staggered Alpina style 16" wheels and like the coupe king version. They have the standard finish and one with a polished lip (which is the only one they have in stock currently). Does anyone have these or has anyone seen them. I'm more inclined to stick with simple and stock looking silver finish but wondering what the opinions are on these. I have a '74 which is mostly stock otherwise. Thanks for the input.

i have the std. coupeking wheels and are very happy with them. i wonder about the polished lip on a stock '74 ... you don't have as much chrome as an older car with the chrome bumpers, grilles, etc. ... seems to me that the std. would look better with the big bumpers with black ends, but i guess that also depends on the color of the car

wow

wow, that is a lot of pictures of my car, and no idea how they got on google, or where on google they are. bp1 - can you tell me how/where you found that link?

and just fyi, my wheels are alpinas not coupeking, but do have polished lip.

Hi Alan...Three years ago when I was shopping for my coupe I contacted you about yours. You didn't want to sell but we did exchange a few emails helping with my E9 education. At the time you supplied me with this link to look at your bumper conversion. I have kept it and referred to it often...still one of my favorite coupes. Hope you didn't mind me passing it on...BOB

Gorgeous car Alan, I really like the look of your wheels and am considering the polished lip. Really looks nice on your car. That link that Bob posted with photos of your car was great as the euro bumper conversion is also on my list of things to do. For now I am compressing and cutting down the '74 bumpers (which actually improves their look greatly) while I gather the parts to do a proper conversion. Looks like the old bumpers may have been retracted on yours. It was helpful to see how you handled the resulting holes from the impact bumpers. Hope to see your car in person someday.

thnks brian, no worries bp1 - i tracked down that old photo album on google and deleted it - happy to share photos of my coupe with anyone here on the forum, but it made me nervous to have that link floating around - lisc plate visible, picture of my precious daughter in back seat, etc.
