Anyone know this Colorado coupe on E-bay?

Saw the car about 14 years ago, from Atlanta, pretty but rusty then, current owner tells me the rust was repaired by the PO, John Warner. Have not seen it since repair was supposed to have happened, but repaired rust is not always rust that is gone forever. Done properly it should be OK, but have not inspected it myself so I would strongly recommend a personal inspection before purchase. Anyone have experience with that eBay inspection that is supposed to be available? Often wondered exactly what that is worth.

Coupe in Littleton

Paul,
I went over yesterday and drove the car. I am not a mechanic, nor do I know all the places to look for problems on an e9. Having said that, here's what I found:
The car drives very well with no problems in gear change, clutch or engine performance. It has a new stainless exhaust system that sounds wonderful, plenty of power and runs smoothly. It had a bit of vagueness on center in the steering but tracks well and corners better than mine with the staggered 16" Alpina wheels and shorter sidewall tires.

Cosmetically, I think the photos on his link show all the problems..it needs a little love and tlc. I wouldn't hesitate to drive it back to Toronto from Denver, but then I drove my coupe back from Costa Mesa without a thought too. I think he has represented the car accurately and it is what it seems.

Let me know if I can help further.

For all the photos there are none of the engine compartment........interesting.

Engine Compartment

I don't think he has anything to hide in the engine compartment. I looked at everything there and while not pristine, neither was it problematic. It needs a good detailing and cosmetic attention but there was no evidence of oil, brake fluid or power steering fluid leaks and everything looked in reasonable shape.

Hint: Take some pictures to answer the concern, dude

My coupe on ebay

This is my first time selling a car on ebay and was not sure what to really expect. Thank you to all the comments and feedbacks, I get to look closer at some of the concernec areas, and reviewed some of the receipts. I bought this car in 2002, when living in OC area, based on a mechanical inspection done by the owner of Beemerwerk (may not spelled correctly) in Broomfield. He was very impressed with it, especially the engine conversion. I probably put less than 2000 miles in the last 6 years. Feel free to give me a call 303 269 6318 (w) or 303 993 6343 (h) if you like anymore detail.
