Anyone know this coupe - huge mods and for sale

is the seller on this board?

Assuming the build was done properly, what a nicely done resto-mod!

Very curious to see what the seller's expectations are and if/what it eventually sells.

One must assume that anybody that takes the time and money to source and rebuild an S38 and stuff it in a coupe would have followed all the right steps along the way. I bet it's a nice build. Nonetheless, I'd like to see a complete chronical of the restoration before taking the time to look at the car and/or paying for someone to perform a PPI.

@ bmwmadman - are you going to bid on this? make sure you clear it with wifey first  you don't want to end up with two coupes in the garage again.

I'd be interested if I had a little more time and knew that the seller wasn't looking for some ludicrous price in the stratosphere.

hmmmm

when I see on the ebay ad....

"Amendment/ Clarification: - The engine is a V6 3.8L"

I think the owner is cash-rich and brain-poor.

'Was' cash rich....
Still - a nice car... (provided everything looks as good in person as it does in the pics)

local available to test drive it

Hey! I'm nearby in Santa Rosa and could look at it closely for you and test drive it on your behalf! Maybe up and down HWY 1 on the coast for an hour or two?

Reminds me that I once saw an ad for a coupe that was less than a mile from my house and we had never seen each other; and this is out in the Sonoma vineyards without a lot of houses. He sold it on this board to a doc in Georgia as I recall, sight unseen.
