My car'b CSL (715) has a hand written number written on the hat shelf metal... Anyone know for sure what it references? Of course, this may not be CSL specific.

My CSL has similar markings on the parcel shelf. Think there might also be some on the dash metal as well.

On my csi in some areas i also had hand written numbers. These numbers probably belong to body production line process.

I had numbers on the underside of the roof for sure. Maybe other areas, can't recall without doing a photo review. I don't want to down play these markings, but I think their just notes from the assembly line. Maybe a note to the next station, or where someone left off one day for the next shift.?.

UPDATE. I had marks that were the color code: "60" for Polaris Silver, and also some writing that I was not able to decipher.

Thanks for the replies everyone... My color code would be 02 for Colorado so that's not it. I initially assumed it was a 78 for the 78th CSL produced but when I add up the vins it more like the 76th I think so who knows?

Dont forget, coupe vins are not in a direct order, they can vary one to four weeks. Plus all these handwritten numbers seem to be two digits.
