Visited Carl yesterday and he showed me the 2 piece repair unit from BMW. I almost wept when he said the price was only 40 bucks. From memory I paid 300-400 to have a custom piece fabricated. Anyone have experience with this? It looked great....

The 1st part is like a crown that goes over the original diff mount. Includes captivated nuts for the 4 bolts. The 2nd piece is a cross member that provides strength to the adjacent metal. Both pieces have plenty of spots open for the welder to use.
