Auto to manual conversion question

Hello,
I have a question on going from auto to manual on a '72 Bavaria. How do I bypass the automatic relay so I can get the starter to get signal.

The black wire at the ignition switch needs to go direct to the starter not to the transmission relay.
forget the relay -just one single wire from switch to starter.
Follow the black wire from the switch- there will be a connector-
Disconnect and run a direct black wire from there to the starter
