Im tempted to convert my 72 csa from auto to manual, its a nice drive at present with the auto box, as it was brand new when my car was restored 4 years ago and has only coverd the 540 miles ive done in the car, the car has only done 52k from new,, but i seem to be getting the urge for stick shift. my E34 alpina is manual and its a superb drive, very sporty and being able to redline in early gears is great.

if i do convert the cs to manual, will the car be worth any less in value? Its full service history, every mot from new, 52k on the clock and the mots back up the milage and is condition 1 due to a very expensive resto 4 years ago.
will the conversion to stick shift de-value the car at all?

I'd pay quite a bit more for a manual tranny Coupe. I would not worry about devaluation.

If done correctly I would think it wouldn't devalue and might add value (although probably only slightly since you are dealing with a relatively low mileage vehicle already and thus already relatively high up the curve).

But I would hang onto all the auto-specific parts if possible if you are worried about value to a future buyer.
