I have a 73 with a zf the car came from Cali. The dipstick is on the drivers side, the gear shift is offset to the left, I am have a hard time getting the correct gearshift surround, regular Bavaria one don't seem to fit. By the way the faster I drive the more I hear this humming sound from the transmission area. Any ideas? Sorry for hijacking the thread. I need a transmission inspection cover
