I have a 73 Bavaria blue that I have owned for about three years, it came from California and made it to the east coast Pennsylvania. I saw it on auction drove to Pa from Maryland and got it for a good price. I have a good friend who is a retired BMW tech who worked on these cars and he helps me out a lot. The car had a transmission leak that we traced to the transmission cooling lines. I found a business near me that made some transmissions lines for me and we installed them. Next I noticed fluid on the transmission on the trans pan, I purchased a pan gasket and my friend installed the new gasket and we put fresh fluid in but there was still a leak. He removed the pan and check everything and it was good what we did notice was fluid leaking when we added fluid via the dip stick tube. He removed the dip stick tube and we noticed a hole in the tube from rubbing up against the brake booster, We took some rubber hose and wrapped the tube at the hole and reinstalled the tub and filled the transmission and no more leaks. On to the next project So far I enjoy driving this car I have done the following since I have had the car
