I know a lot of you have switched to stick shift!
I like the Auto transmission and trying to figure out some kind of Idle control Valve for the RPM drop that would help the car idle more consistent.
suggestions or anyone has done this before????
By the way I am running side draft carbs!
Thank you in advance, Joe

The load is consistent while in gear, just set the idle so it's correct while in gear. There's no reason why a high idle would be a problem while in Park or Neutral. How much time do you spend in P or N?

If you must though, there are 12v solenoid valves that could serve that purpose. They are commonly used to increase the idle when air conditioning is on. The problem would be connecting them to a side draft engine, they usually do not have a common manifold to all cylinders which is what you would need. The solenoid valves I was looking at tended to overheat during extended on time though, I think I just gave up on whatever project I was contemplating with them.
