Does the Aux fan works when the A/C is on and when the engine reaches a certain temeprature or?

My '72 comes on when the a/c is on regardless of temp, later models may do both.
View attachment 32067 THERES A TEMP switch in the radiator that is synced to the fan -so yes it comes on wwhen it heat up too much
you can weld a bung to the side radiator rail and tap one in if you dont have one there
its really easy and then wire per the 74 diagram .
heres the wiring for the ac and the switch hookup

Done properly the temperature switch should not turn the AC compressor on.
You can buy a diode from ecs tuning.

Thanks for your help Gents, I have a 71 2800CS and do not have a switch in the radiator so the Aux fan is only triggered by A/C only.
I was wondering If one could rewire the Aux fan to work with A/C compressor or thermostat switch?
