BAT: Euro 1971 BMW 3.0CSi 4-Speed

No doubt, It’s beautiful. Nearly 800 photos. Missing small red handle screw driver is a deal breaker for me ;).
But you would think if you have a car that should sell for 6 figures you could come up with a more creative solution than 15 mm & 10mm bolts and bits of hose. o_O

Nice car. The alignment issue below is a personal pet peeve of mine. I would think that twisting the airbox while mounted to the car would correct the issue.

its the only thing that stood out. overall its a very nice looking coupe - sure there are some little things that wouldn't have taken too long to fix correctly. but the heavy lifting seems to be mostly done. so much space between the top of the tire and the bottom of the fender arch just seems so wrong - like they decided to add the US spacer plates on to raise the bumpers

I completely agree. I have called it a 3.0CSiX. The seller had been told exactly what you previously said but I guess the owner wasn’t as receptive.

About 6 months from now they will wish they used engine bay wire harness tape instead of interior harness tape.

some of this car is so good and some is so hard to look at. Was this a test to see how much you could do wrong per square inch?

Not sure what was going on there. It appears that the coolant passage piece was replacedwith the proper part before engine install.

Is it possible to too many pictures in a BaT listing?

Perhaps but once you see it you can’t unsee it. You and everyone that reads this will now be picking fly shit out of pepper for every CSI that goes up for sale.

"Hey, you know, we took all these photos as the parts came in. Might as well post them on the auction."

In the BaT comments, KevinH talks about his E9 having a ZF 4 speed with a notchy feel to it. Was this the OEM transmission?
