Having had my 72 Euro for 11 years I thiught I'd finally ask about this.

I have 5 small wires going to my + main cable that I have put ring terminals on over the years and tightened them with the 1/2" nut.Needless to say, this is not ideal as they have to be removed and cleaned too often. How was this originally done, was there a main common connector that all 5 went to and then one wire was attached to the + cable.

Pics, diagrams, anything would help

Thanks,
Jim

Jim,

Mine has a heavy lug that all the ancillary positive wires go into and it's crimped very much like the starter business end of the positive cable. Beats the heck out of individual wire rings.

Do a search for Groton battery cables who supply all sorts of solutions for pictures. One better than mine is a solder plug that once the lug is filled with the wires are placed , the plug goes in, and is soldered.

The factory cable has two mounting points to attach feeds for the nearby relays. Same as e21 I believe. Got mine from Mesa.

Terminal

I heated and soldered the sucker, all wires to a new copper end, just to be sure. Flux is a must.
