I was out for a bike ride this afternoon. (I grew up in Atlanta and spend Christmases here) and spotted this on the return leg at a small used car lot in ~Tucker at Lawrenceville Highway and Northlake Parkway. About 90% Mercedes, the Bavaria and a Jeep J20.

4-speed, older repaint looked good, a bit of bubbling on the hood, interior looked pretty flawless except for a crack on the dash, seats had been reupholstered in more or less correct material.

No other información on the car - at first I thought it was a shop lot until I saw the sign on the dash that indícated it was for sale. This is the lot.

Looks to be in really nice condition. Except for two dash cracks, were they a factory option? the interior with leather shows no rips or tears. I don't remember Jackie O's being in this good condition the last time I saw photos.

if anybody is seriously interested in this car, its about 15 - 20 minutes from my house.

If I hadn’t bought my E12 last year, I’d probably be seriously interested in it myself. Not as nice as the one I passed on, but looks good on first impression. I didn’t take a long look at it, so I didn’t see the condition of all of the lower body panels and of course one can’t evaluate the mechanical condition.

while partially true, if somebody was really interested / the price was reasonable ... our friend @bdigel has a shop about 10 minutes away ... and could offer an excellent professional opinion on the mechanical condition if somebody was to hire him for a PPI. many hear have seen the e3 race car he has been building and i can attest to the wonderful work he did on my car - removing the old engine and installing the new one.

i drove + maintained an e3 for 8 years / 100k+ miles in the mid / late 80's thru early 90's

It is not Jackie O's, her car (and some may argue her life) ended up with a salvage title...
It is not Bob Marley's either.
It is not Nino Bravo's either as his was destroyed in the accident (https://www.elcarrocolombiano.com/c...-del-bmw-2800-l-en-el-que-murio-hace-50-anos/)
It is not the E3 Wundercar. https://e9coupe.com/forum/threads/e3-wondercars-at-seattle-bmw.42022/
It its not Grosjean's E3 as it stands too high: https://stanceworks.com/2020/09/une...bmw-e3-2500-sedan-photoraphed-by-mike-crawat/

But this just shows it is an interesting club of owners, passions, and fickle karma.
