I’ll take a stab at the thought process. BMW did offer a Motorsport accessory wheel. Those were Mahle wheels with a distinctly different, bug casually similar spoke weave. These are standard BBS Mahle wheels. Still nice and priced fair, but not motorsport wheels.

My BBS Mahle 14x7 wheels just like these are also stamped BMW, I have seen both and don’t why.

@Markos, i am aware of the fps 14 x 7, you brought that to my attention, i found a pic and added them to my FAQ. we also have the BBS Mahle there. i was just trying to find out if there was something different about them - that i needed / wanted to learn about. if i posted something inflammatory, that i don't remember, my apologies to the seller ... but i didn't think i did. didn't know if there was a separate racing division of BBS back then, i know they certainly made racing wheels.

For what it’s worth there was a set of 5 on Offerup with an asking price of $400. May still be there.

These wheels look very much like the optional 7” E12 M535i wheels. The standard fit was 6.5x14.
