an exquisite grey CSL is sitting in the 'showroom' at Korman Autoworks, Greensboro, NC. The owner hasn't picked it up yet after having work done, so if you are close, better hurry to see it.

teile number?

Hi guys,

anyone know the chassis numbers of the two csl this retailer?

how can I buy the black plastic cover that protects the oil pan?

Korman

Gianni,

Here is the link for Korman here in the US:

http://www.kormanautoworks.com/parts.htm

I would suggest you post in the parts section for the other items you asked about- engine shield. I'm almost certain they are not available new. Perhaps someone has a spare?

Best regards,

So called "black plastic cover" to "protect" oil pan is not and was not plastic. It was pressed paper.

Typically--after 4-6 oil services they was usually thrown out by the mechanics as their attachment points became useless. Original purpose was to smooth the air flow under the front of E-9's--good idea--poor choice of materials as they were not durable.

Long ago they disappeared from dealer inventories--last one I saw that was new was about 15-16 years ago at the Monterey events--someone had a new one for sale at $150 then. Ok for show but----no one rushed to buy then.

OOoopps the underpan on the CSl is NOT an original type so I stand corrected--have never seen the piece before that Korman has used and must be a custom fabrication--therefore it may be available from them.

telaio

I would be grateful. best regards

I picked an excellent used cardboard belly pan on eBay about 1 1/2 years ago after looking for a LONG time. Don't ask what I paid...

I had one on my 73 cs, IIRC they are coated cardboard and get logged with oil and water over time.

cover

I've got my original oil soaked one in my trunk covered in two plastic bags. I'm going to try and clean it a little and just put it on if I ever show my car.

Belly pan--oil soaked

Suggestion:
if you can successfully clean the oil from the pressed paper belly pan--try mineral spirits first as that may be less damaging than other choices and if still intact after oil is gone--allow to completely dry--then apply two or three coats of clear or gray POR-15 to the innner surfaces--this treatment will provide an effective barrier against any future absorption of coolant or oil.

This same treatment of POR-15 on the inner surfaces of the paper backing used for your original door panels is also very effective in preventing detioration by moisture absorption.

Did this to the BLUMAX door panels years ago and they remain in fine condition. Of course I rarely put any water over the top of BLUMAX so exposure to moisture is minimal.
