So I parted a '73 Bavaria earlier this Spring, and the radio has me a bit puzzled. It's a Becker Europa II with an external amplifier, but the faceplate is different than what I've seen in other E9s with similar radios:

The radio functions, and I think the radio will work in the stock E9 control plate, but I'm wondering if this radio was available in a '72/'73 E9 before I bother replacing what I have (later '70's Blaupunkt).

TIA,

John

John-
The radio has the correct BMW nosepiece to fit the AC panel, and looks vintage correct to me. Knobs are Mercedes style, but fit well enough. I'd go with it.

Was Behr the only vendor BMW used for the AC systems on the e9? With the dealer installed AC on 02s, some were Behr some Fridgiking. The 280SL also used Fridgiking
