Belt line trim aftermarket

Sometimes you are better off having your original trim polished and ceramic coated.
Well yes. Nothing fits as well as a factory part and the curvature on that trim has to be just right - you will probably have to spend some time tweaking replacement trim to get a good fit.

But if your old trim is missing or damaged beyond repair, it's good to know that replacements are available.

good to know optinos exist. I think also W&N had reproductions.

beware that their fastener set is 4 units short: BMW parts books are wrong here, as an e9 has 49 holes along the trimline.

Anyone have any experience with this manufacturer? Based on the work they do with 2002s and e30s that is a bit more prevelant, I am considering giving them a try versus polishing and coating mine. Price is less or equal, maintains a more correct finish, and keep my old trim to sell.

one word of caution on polishing - that can slightly vary the shape of the trim and you might have to have a body guy work on it slightly. mine doesn't fit perfectly after polishing / ceramic coating, but it sure looks good. happy to know that somebody is making a replacement and would like to hear how well it fits.
