Best brake pads

I just tried the EBC Redstuff, and they were very mediocre.
I need some suggestions about other makes of pads that are very powerful. I don´t mind the wheels getting dirty from soft, powerful pads.

What type of driving do you do?
We have used the redstuff and found them to be reasonable depending on the application. However the Yellow stuff is a better all round pad once they get a little heat in them. Another option is the Porterfields, although they can squeal, are dirty and wear into the disc, having said that, they do pull up very well, even with very hard use. Porterfield also have a number of compounds to select from.
Of course there is always the Pagid range to choose from as well.
