Factory 3.0 csi v cs coupe with e12 m535i engine from 1981 , all other things being equal , gearbox, diff , suspension etc , whats the quickest .

I say m535i engine, and paraphrasing a british friend my opinion is based on two things, ignorance, and little else.

The E12 enhanced coupe, by a significant margin. More torque, more power, more area under the torque curve. The M90 is better than the stock M30B30 in the E9.

Here's my guess- Euro to Euro? Coupe to Coupe; M90= 81motorsports; 3.5,218hp. Which means in theory, a stock CSI has less by nearly 40hp with a corresponding amount of torque. However, the M90 is oversquare and that could be a factor at rpm to rpm. 0-60 or top speed?
