Beginning a resto and searched pretty far and wide on this site for an answer, but couldn't seem to find a definitive post.

What is the best vendor to buy chrome body trim and seals based on price and selection? Putting together the shopping list now for what needs to be replaced and would like to know the best starting point.

Thanks all!

IF you live in the northeast US, Foreign Car Parts Euro -www.fcpeuro.com - has always been a reliable and prompt supplier of MB, Porsche, Audi, and BMW parts. They will match a lower price from elsewhere, and shipping is free above $49.

Fcpeuro and Ecstuning are good companies. But do they stock much chrome or rubber trim for the coupe? I didn't located much in a limited bit of googling.

Also are prices appreciably better than dealer for these products?

W + N has a bunch of unique stuff. But are they better than dealer for chrome and rubber?

Just interested in the facts, don't have an opinion here...

Is there a good exploded view of all these types of parts online with respective part numbers? Pardon me if there are some good threads here on this board, didn't seem to find an exact match on that.

if you are going to try to replace the belt trim - do NOT buy new trims ... they don't fit, and you will spend a lot of money. you can send original ones to Speedway and get them refinished - polished and ceramic coating ... for around 400 bucks plus shipping (the full set)

whooo

rc you justr saved me a big hassle as i was going to get all new from wallesnesch
so ill send my old to speeders

i got my belt trims back from Speedway a month or so ago ... and they look fantastic. Dan is a good guy and does great work.
