looking for CSL aluminum hood and trunk (or boot) and possibly door skins. are these still available new? and if not, any aftermarket distributor? used? any one out there?
any issues with the aluminum parts vs. the stock steel parts in CS and CSI? thanks.

From CSI <http> - lots of fibreglass alternatives available at a fraction of the cost there and elsewhere.

D-421 Hood, Aluminum [New]
Also available used. $3,150.00

A-067 Trunk Lid, Aluminum [New]
$3,900.00

A-068 Trunk Lid, Aluminum [Used]
$2,800.00

CSL alloy panels

These panels are available from BMW, just get the part numbers and contact a dealer that will give you a good discount. Last time I checked the doors were $2012 each with a twenty percent discount. Those prices from CSI are absurd, they represent the markup he puts on the parts he gets from BMW. I think Carl Nelson also has them, call at 800-466-8184. Used panels are generally crap, the aluminum is soft and easily deformed. It is much more difficult to undeform them.
