I tried to bleed my cooling system today. I loosened the bleeder screw and did not get anything to come out of the system. The temperature was up to about 3 o clock, but nothing. Does this mean my thermostat is not working? Not sure what this means.

Pull the screw. Something should come out. Just cracking it sometimes doesn't do it.

My temp stays about 3:30. At 3 it could be a little slow or not opening all the way.

yeah, remove the screw, and drill out the orifice below. Scale in the cooling system will be found to have plugged it. Suggest a 1/16" drill or slightly larger. BTDT

Hi some obvious details,
When you drill the blocked hole the engine should be off
Again when you bleed the air, the engine must be on ! And the position of the heater in the front dashboard must be towards the warm/winter position
Regards

Drill the t-stat and the system is self bleeding.

Done.
