Blinker return function

I now have two of my coupés with the same problem: blinker/turn indicator doesn´t stop blinking after I have completed the turn.
The part on the back of the steering wheel which is supposed to bring back the stalk to Neutral/Middle postion is just where it has always been and is supposed to be. I changed the stalk a while ago as the window wiper function failed, but the above problem arose weeks later.
Anyone else with this problem??

The return cam had too much clearance to hook onto the turn signal peg.
Problem fixed!
