Block Number

My `73 block has no VIN on the block and I believe it is a long block from later in its life. It is stamped 530 J / USA A 1 6 however, right behind the head, not above the starter. Any significance? Thanks.

Reviewing some receipts, my car recieved a "3.3 eng. Factory" in December of 1986. I have found no V.I.N. number anywhere. The spot behind the starter is blank.

Could be a crate motor from the factory. My 3.5 "L" block does not have serial numbers as well.
