They were on an E9 I bought in Sweden many years ago, seems the car did very few miles since they were fitted, the wheels are dated 1981. By the way all of the wheels are located in the UK.
These look almost exactly like e24 TRX wheels, but the lug indicates that they are 14x6. This wheel is a great option for folks that want an OEM look without spending $400 a piece on a metric Michelin.
Funny thing.... I thought I was pretty much well versed in bmw wheels from the late 70s and 80s. I’ve never seen this design in any other dimension other than the TRX. I’m most curious what that would look like in a 14 on an e9 (or anything else from this period)
TRX were first wheels told to be like "runflat" and as such were available in "exclusive" versions of E30:
1. 325iX ECE - other shape of bottle cap (different ET) - still have genuine wheels but the problem is who knows when Michelin will produce them again and how high the price will be
2. 324td ECE - bottle cap but metric. You can tell by "TD" mark on the rim's edge, close to the valve:
