BMW Canada 1M Spot - AWESOME

hmmm

steering wheel is on the wrong side.

It remains to be seen whether the sill plate statement "1 of 450" will be upheld by BMW. Remember the debacle about the '88 M5 (at least I think it was the '88 model). BMW promised owners limited production (thus enduriing value, supposedly) then overproduced. Owners were greatly pissed and BMW had to make financial amends.

So would I rather drive an M1 or 1M? No question what. so. ever. The M1, even though slower than the E30 M3. But no matter, can't afford it anyway.

M-1 slower than the E-30 M-3--strong statement

What M-1 were you testing?

Believe my #199 M-1 was quicker than the E-30 M-3. Much more power and not much heavier and put that power directly through the transaxle to the ground. Just try to leave black stripes--the M-1 refused--just hooked up and went--unless wet or on sand.

MOF used it to humble a Corvette owner who mistook it for a kit car--warned that not kit but ignored by the gold chained driver--remember 1982 they were in fashion--gold chains on drivers but not Corvettes--humbled by an inline six.

hmmm

Neither, can't afford 'em. I stand corrected and apologize for reiteration "I read it on the net".

A quick check (see http://www.bmwdrives.com/mcars/bmw-e30-m3.php, u.s.w.) shows the '86 to '89 M3 posted a 6.8 second 0-60 time. The '89-'90 posted 6.6 seconds. Evo 1 at 6.7, Evo 2 at 6.6, Sport Evolution posted 6.2.

Same site gives the M-1 a 5.6 second time.

The E82 1M gets by in 4.9 seconds.
