In the digital Roundel I saw an article on the BMW Club and Community Management Newsletter. In it they discussed ordering parts direct from BMW Classic. But all is not as it seems, it is not available to US owners. I sent them this note:
“I was glad to see this online order option in the Club and Community Management Newsletter. However, why won’t you ship to the US? Why are you not supplying needed e9 parts? You have not had kidney grilles, headlight grilles or tail lights available for over five years, this is inexcusable to your vintage BMW owners here in the US. BMW has lost their quality controls over the parts you buy from suppliers such as the e9 belt trim, it does not fit. I was told by one of your executives this past August at the BMW CCA Legends of the Autobahn event in Monterey California that they didn’t know when we would have parts. He was very excited about webpage enhancements whereby owners would be able to upload photos, we don’t want to upload photos.”
