Hello everyone I am new to this Forum and quite new to the E9 World and hope to learn alot from you all. I am hoping you could answer me a question, I would really appriciate it :). The car has the Karmann Code 02 on the Plate, which is think is Colorado color. Were many Cars with this color produced or is this a rare color? Thanks in advance for your answer :)

002 Colorado is very rare on normal cars

but very common on the 167 carburretted CSL cars.
Apparently about 10 CSi cars left the factory with that colour.
As for 2800 and 3.0 CS, I don´t know.

And it's a great color with black interior as Peder can attest! You won't run into any others either.

Another very rare colour is 065 Turkis (metallic)

About 5 CSL cars were produced in this colour, but I don´t know the number for the normal cars. I bought one recently, which was sold new in Italy, like most of my E9s.

Howdy-

It is a great and unusual color to sport, you will get nothing but compliments on it.
Colorado with black is a great mix, ;-)

FYI: Colorado is a difficult color to match correctly, I tried, but mine ended up a little south (somewhere near Arizona? halfway between Colorado and the Golf I believe, ha ha). But I still like alot.

I think there are more surviving 2002s in this color, you might pop over to the 2002faq board and see if they can share some paint match solution/formulas/sources.

HTH and good luck!
