i was trying to read the VIN. this is obviously a USA '74 CS ... i can read the 4310 ... but can't see the last 3 digits. in looking through the coupe ancestry project, there aren't many known nachtblau cars from 74. this is what i know -
004 was sold by R+M auctions
056 was owned by Dave Hill (LA) in 2000
099 was Jonathan Hart (austin, tx) in 2012
120 was a copart car in 2018
122 is Shane's car
186 was Kingman Bassett (buffalo, ny) in 2008
275 was originally siennabraun + now nachtblau - sold by RM at some point
there are a couple of arktisblau coupes
281 - john Feng (Boston)
303 - David in Cape Girardeau, MO in 2013
if anybody knows this owner, please find out some info
thanks
scott
Bid for the chance to own a M30B34-Powered Euro 1972 BMW 3.0CSi 5-Speed at auction with Bring a Trailer, the home of the best vintage and classic cars online. Lot #81,840.
okay so 2261491 is the CSi - the one difference between the 2 is that the CSi doesn't have front overriders or rear underriders on the bumpers - its has 2000cs bumpers. the headrests are different styles between the 2 cars - the one above has Michelin tires + the BaT car has Contis. don't think these are the same 2 cars
These are definitely different cars.
Apart from differences in the steering wheel, gear lever and different veneer, the car from the film has an adjustable steering column and a red Hazard button next to the ignition.
