bmw e9 automatique transmission filtre and gasket wanted

Hi
I have been looking for a servicing kit for my 3 speed borg warner auto transmission.(car is a 1973). I need the filter and pan gasket. Can someone recommend a source .. I went through the usual suppliers and nothing seems available..
help appreciated..

Try a Jaguar parts specialist. The earlier XJ6 used same BW65.

after a bit more research i located this vendor in australia

they are also present on ebay..
the model is Borg warner 65. used on the XJ^ as well..

Mesa Performance got me a gasket and filter (very expensive) for my 2002 auto. You don't need that big kit unless you are opening up the trans.

I have found your part at a clocal shop that refurishes gearboxes and automatics ; autrans.nl.
A Dutch website but if you email or call i'm sure they can manage English.

Visited them a few years ago and i was impressed. They simply pulled one from the shelf. ( I have same automatic box. )

When I first read the Post, I was worried that you would pay a fortune for a 25 dollar part. Good for you, a little HW. I harp on this always....use TYPE F fluid. I use Redline racing ATF, has done wonders. I would swap out 3 quarts at time, drive for a few hundred miles and then swap out again. The stuff in the pan only represents a small total of the ATF fluid volume needed.

I agree. Just get a quality pan gasket. Some kits include a gasket made of some synthetic material. May not tighten well, followed by a leak you didn't have before you took on this "service".
