bmw e9 CSI 1973 all my electric windows stop working?

Likely a ground problem somewhere. To the left of the fuse box there is a bolt with numerous ground wires connected to the chassis; check this to ensure you have a good connection.

Then check the wiring that becomes visible when you open each of your doors, which supplies power to the window motors inside each door. Make sure the wiring is not rubbing or worn.

I've opened up the switches are they are extremely robust; unlikely there is a problem there. Switch connectors are also very well insulated, so that's unlikely too.

The circuits are somewhat complicated to check with a meter, but if you don't see anything with a visual inspection, that may be the next step.

Is a relay somewhere that control all the windows?

Generally not. Some owners have added one per window.

It can be useful to see if a new fuse blows right away or only when trying to move a window.
It can also be useful to start from rear windows and see which switch blows the fuse.

You can wire in a small bulb instead of the fuse so you do not blow than many...

I was working on the rear window, replacing square rubber at the end of window, using e28 motors, applied direct power to motor and window work?

Is that what blew the fuse? Was the motor still wired? If so it may have back fed and blown the fuse. Do they work after the fuse is replaced?

Just to be sure a reset the breaker several times.

The only way you have a relay is if a prior owner added it. Can you test the motor out of the car to see if it is the problem?
