Hi Guys,

I have problem now with my engine. I have cracked motor head and
used engine block so it should be replaced. I have found motor
3,5 l, BMW M30/B35 M106 from BMW 745i E23 ( no turbo and ecu ). I want to replace block and motor head from this engine, becouse this car have automatic transsmision ZF3hp12 and i dont have Ecu from 745i.
Anybody did swap parts from this engine?

The 745i turbo engine m106 is based on the b34 engine.
8:1 compression
Same cam as b35 and as euro b34. It is a "K" cam.
You can use the big adapter nut on the cam and still use your distributor and carbs.
You will have an issue with the exhaust studs, they are much longer and bigger than a standard engine.
The m106 has a oil cooler and a oil return oil in the block. No problem with these.
M106 bolts right in.
If you use the turbo you need to make a small cut.

I bought this engine but without ECU (engine control unit) Old ecu had 35 pins and i dont know what to do now. Which ecu should i buy?

no harness, no turbo, no plumbing for 745i?
Use a 059 ecu.
