BACK IN STOCK AS OF APRIL 5, 2024!!

This is one tool that every NK, 2002 and New Six owner needs!

Need to adjust your valves? Set the dwell angle on your points? Find TDC to stab a distributor?
We’ve resurrected the marvelous BMW tool #7008-1. We used 4140 steel and had it hardened to RC 48/52 tool grade steel. We then had it black oxide treated to produce a long lasting, corrosion-resistant finish that will last as long as your ‘02.

The Engine Turning Tool works with any dual chain BMW from the 60s to the 90s.

Am I right it will also fit S14 engine as it also has dual-row chain on timing gears?

That's a good question as the e24, e28, e30, e34 and e36 all use the same dual row timing chain (11311403081). I haven't tried it on an S14 engine, but, from what I've heard, it works at least on any dual row timing chain of the '60s, '70s and '80s. Those chains are approximately 23mm wide and there is an indent on the timing chain pulley beneath the chain that is 4mm deep. If the S14 chain and pulley are close to those specs, it should work. Here are a couple of explanatory pics.

I have used the socket on the crank nut method when this tool wasn't with me on the M10s and M30s and hated it! Keeping the socket on the nut and rotating the bar between the fan and radiator can be very frustrating and time consuming.

I'll try to check it out

Picture from the Net (looks the upper rail would need to be removed anyhow):
