Hi Guys,

Not sure if this was ever posted before but here you go. BMW at the Geneva motorshow in 1969.

What I'm getting from this photo is that the half pipe was not invented by Tom Stewart in the mid 70's. He stole the idea from BMW marketing. :D

The white Neue Klasse looks like it has vertical tail lights. I thought those were gone by 1969, replaced by the horizontal tail lights. Also, I've never seen hubcaps on an E9. The parts book show them only for the 2.5CS and that didn't come until 1975, I think.

Great image. Thanks Philipe

Bill, The 2000Ti kept the early vertical tail lights. The parts book shows disc wheels on the 2.5CS only but I thought early euro coupes may have had them as well, not sure though.

I am really surprised how many different changes, both subtle and not-so-subtle that BMW made over the period from 1963 to 1970. I'm still on the steep part of the learning curve with the NK cars. Thanks for that added tidbit Chris.
