I got this sent this morning from a set search on Ebay. We all realize this isn't an E9 toolkit and most of the tools look newer and possibly off of a BMW motorcycle kit. Kind of a cool tool roll.

I found the hammer interesting. Most tool sare marked "Germany" not "W. Germany", however at quick glance it may be worth it for the red screwdrivers which I did see a W. Germany but not an expert to tell from pics if they are correct for an E9. They look like they are, but I could be wrong.

The roll is from the German army (Bundeswehr).
It says Fernemeldewartung, so probably a toolkit for radio operations equipment (although I do not know a similar kit from my time in the army)...
You can also see it on the plate number starting with "Y".
Seems like someone found it interesting enough to put some BMW tools in it :)

I wouldn't spend a euro, or dollar, on it. Unless you need a hammer to hang a painting.
Exacly...although I do have a lot of specialized hammers etc. that I pick up at garage sales. For most people a hammer is a hammer for hanging a painting yes. However I do find some of the metal working ones interesting for certain projects. If you are like me, you can never have enough tools if you have the space. Always on the lookout for odd stuff and here in N. Idaho there are a ton of work shops attached to homes full of tools so you can pick up $1 hammers, etc. that cost $10 on up depending on what it is new at say Home Depot. Usually a $1 hammer works as well as a $10+ hammer. "Deep Thoughts" by Jack Handey...LOL. Some of you will get that reference.
