FOLKS:

I just got back from a German tour. Munich was obviously part of the trip. Although I know many of you have been to the BMW Museum and Welt (and many of you have been lucky enough to schedule the Classics tour) - I thought I'd share all of the photos I took.

Not knowing too much about the museum in advance - I was found by one of the assistants standing with a very sad look on my face. I toured the whole thing without seeing the time capsule e9. She not only explained to me the "treasure" room was very hard to find - she then gave me a great behind the scenes tour. Sadly - she didn't allow me to shoot what I saw. Don't worry - it wasn't filled with secret coupes but I did get to see the one that many love to debate.

Enjoy!

Great pics; thanks for posting. Spending a few days in Munich in September; you've whetted my appetite!

I forgot to get the VIN of the coupe when I visited the Museum so I could add it to the registry. I saw the coupe again at the IAA car show in Frankfurt, and again forgot to get the VIN number.

You missed the Mobile Tradition, the BMW Classic Group exhibition !

FYI—Just received an eMail from BMW Group Classic:

Hello Mr Soccolich,

the BMW Group Classic is not open to the public.
We have sometimes guided tours here, one tour for a group of 15 people costs 150,00 Euro plus tax.

I would suggest you to visit the BMW Museum.
Please have a look at
