The owner of the Polaris 1972 3.0 CSA that I met last month at the Palm Beach Concours invited Dirk and me to a Hangar Crawl in Palm Beach County. He told me he had his collection in a hangar near others with car collections. They are called Hangars because the word garage would be an insult to what we saw Saturday night.
Rasmi Akel has quite the 9 car collection-Coupes, convertibles, and a track car he runs at Sebring and Homestead. I need to get him to join the forum!
There were 3 rows of Hangars with collections on both sides. We saw full custom 1st gen. Bronco to Lincoln convertible to Ferrari to Porsche to Cobra Mustangs to custom motorcycles.
And a 1974 3.0CSi in Fjord over saddle tan. I asked the owner about the car. He bought it in southern Cal. from a shop owned by a guy who used to work with Carl Nelson. The car is very nice with the Italian front corner lights. I asked him if he drove it and he said when he can with 37 other cars including 9 Porsches. His Hangar was 3 units. Like Mel Brooks said, "It's good to be the King!"
Here are pics of the night.

Those are car condos that are sprouting up everywhere, we have a large complex next to John Wayne Airport, small ones start at $1M! The guy who “used to work with Carl” is probably Chris K. who tried to blackmail Carl into selling his business to him.

Nice looking Fjord CSi. Generally, it seems, most of the CSis in the states, were imported from or through Italy. I bought a pair of Italian front lenses for Athena, who was imported from Italy in 1991.

There have been plans to do those style of hangar-garage-condos here in Brunswick Maine. These 'proposals' have come & gone over the past 10 years.

Throttle Car Club in Scarborough Maine is the closest thing to a 'hangar'. The owner, Jamie Nonni, owns a CS Coupe.

Amazing!! Now I know the destination of all the ridiculously expensive body parts, dealer signs, etc.. that sell on BaT.
Vince-I was thinking of the same thing. Barrett-Jackson calls this part of the auction-Automobilia. The walls in these Hangars had lots of big-buck stuff hanging on them.
