Yes they had a classic BMW frame, similar to Vasek Polak. Incredibly rare unfortunately, the only one I've seen was at CK and they aren't for sale. I will keep looking though.

Scottt, save the search on Ebay. You never know. I think I scored the plate frame I am looking for Friday.
It is from defunct Toronto dealer Beach Auto. Will know on Monday what it looks like. I sure hope it is metal. WIll cost a bottle of Wine.
Edit. The plate frame is one of those Black Plastic ones...still looking.

did that a while ago. never have seen one. my guess is that the only place somebody will find one is in california. and living in atlanta makes that just a bit more difficult ... but i remain hopeful

What makes it even tougher is C. Bob Autrey BMW became Long Beach BMW in early 80s if not earlier so frames may only have been available for ten years or so.
