Do I have to pop off the PW switches? Ugh... If so, gotta then keep track what wire goes on what spade on switches.

If you are removing the whole console, then yes, you need to mark the wire positions. Photos are an easy way to remember.

Mark each connector though it's not hard to figure out what goes where. Once you remove the switches look in the holes and follow the bracket to where the console screws in to the blocks. There's also the bracket at the back of the console nearest the brake lever. A word of advice, be gentle when screwing everything back together the last thing you'll want to do is strip out the screw holes in the wooden pieces.

The 74 has single multi pin connectors for the window switches. So only one plug to remove and all wires come off ( and back on) together.

Ya, my old jag series 2 is like the pre-74 e 9. Then the series 3 has the plugs like the 74+.

Why it took 5 years to figure it out, who knows?
