A friend has E9 and he's looking at installing aircon( cooling only ), Understandably,he's not interested in going on a protracted worldwide treasure hunt to find all the OEM bits . My '74 has a USA made trunk system that was installed when delivered here in Perth and I suggested that a contemporary equivalent might be the way to go . So, anyone gone this path ?...the outlet vents would be limited to the rear parcel shelf which obviates the need for any interference to the dash or console ( control switches would be discrete under dash location like my RHD car ) Thoughts and recommendations on model types etc would be appreciated. Cheers, Simon

I don’t have much to add on kits. I would consider adding the kit to exit through the armrest hole. That would keep the parcel shelf clean and the kit concealed when the armrest is up. Also it would blow straight towards the front passengers.

Thanks Markos,,not a bid idea ....my outlets are on the parcel shelf and blow towards back of head/neck although possible to redirect diffuser(s) .I guess it would be handy to know a specific kit that someone has installed that can be recommended. If not ,I will probably contact the company that originally installed my unit ...yes, they're still going !
