Hey guys,

I am never going to use this kit on my car since I found the factory system years ago so here it is for someone to make good use of it.

This is a very cool kit in that it was made by the OEM, Bosch, that made the system for the E9/E3/E12, as an aftermarket item. I have never seen this system other than the one I have.

It includes:
  • The two Bosch wiper motors, L and R, both work perfectly as seen in the video. It looks to me like the left motor is brand new and the right one might have been gently used, however I completely checked it out, regreased and resealed it and is good to go for years to come. All they need is the rubber sleeve gasket at the top of the shaft where it enters the threaded stud to prevent water ingress.
  • The two wiper arms in like new condition only with slight markings from decades of storage
  • Four unused wiper blades with supple rubber.
  • Bosch/Nippondenso water pump and associated tubing.
  • Harness incorporating under-dash mountable switch.
  • Bag of 16 (4 per headlamp ring) plastic wiper blade supports to be mounted on your existing headlamp trim rings.
  • Hardware bag including, among other things, the 16 very small screws to attach the headlamp ring blade supports to the rings.
  • Hardware bag including two steel double headlamp washers squirters and the tubing plastic T.
  • Bag of uber rare genuine Bosch zip ties... :)
The function is simple in that for as long as the button is pressed, the pump motor and the wipers run and when no longer pressed the pump stops and the wipers continue to run the cycle until they reach the parked position.

There is no template for where to place the pegs but any of us with the headlight rings that have them can provide the details on positioning them.

I also have a BMW double pump, shown in the album link below, which is not included with this kit but anyone interested in that please PM me or email me at LArisso [at] ATT dot com. Email in "code" to avoid spam robots...

Great price indeed! If i didn't had one already - i would buy this set for sure.
p.s. washer nozzles are probably not from e9;

Wladek,

The nozzles are for the headlamps, not for the hood/windshield. They are to be mounted on the top part of the front plastic grilles and direct the washing stream to each headlamp.

I would say that your aluminium nozzles will fit perfect for the hood, but not necessarily for headlights, because in the place of their mount on the headlights grills there is no space for straight hose connection, nozzle connector should be on angle, like that one (OEM):

I have complete e9 set of headlight washing system, so i am pretty confident about that.
Price is great anyway, because nozzles are available & are inexpensive!

This would be a tremendous guilty pleasure for my car, always lusted for these, perhaps someday...

it is a lovely addition, but,.....what about a system that sprays water onto your body internals ? think about that

obvioulsy a great addition not to use it !!!
kind of the windscreen wipers :-)

I have this same setup I got from Germany 2 years ago. Going on my car but was not as complete as this one.
I think I paid $500 for what I got and still had to make it look good. We won't go into that, right Luis?
Going on my car as we speak.

As mentioned this was a great deal. I was a bit impulsive when I jumped on my wipers, but I was happy to find a number of NOS parts thereafter. I have seen some rough used kits in germany for $600 - $800 since. I have about $1,200 into my setup. That is used wiper arms, Used HL bezels (new style), Used HL bezels (old style), NOS motors, NOS dual pump, New tank (available), NOS auxilary cowl tank, used HL grills cut for wipers, used e24 wiring (free). I still need tubing, check valves, new blades, and sprayers. This is the price I pay for novelty. :D

@m5bb and whomever purchased the kit from Luis, please add any relevant to this thread:

Also - whoever purchased this kit, I can help with the measurements on where to put the plastic wiper blade support pieces. The BMW headlight rings with wiper stops are the same as the non-wiper rings. They just have small holes drilled in the correct spot. Maybe I can trace a template.
