My May `73 3.0CS has a brake booster where the vacuum hose comes out of the booster at 5:00 when looking at the front. The hose winds clockwise under the master then up and loops around to the intake manifold. According to RealOEM, this would be an e12 booster.

The reason I ask is because the fabric covered hose I bought is way too short, but it is the one listed which shows the hose exiting the booster at 3:00 and going counter-clockwise, it is only 14 inches long. Was this only on the earlier cars and later ones like mine have the e12 style? Just wondering. Thanks.

My car is definitely original. The booster hose exits at about 4:00, routes upward (CCW) and connects to the front carb manifold. Hose is probably about 14 inches long.

The e12 booster is almost twice as thick as the e9 booster, so it should be easy to tell if there's been a swap. The e9 booster is about 4-5 inches thick, the e12 is about 7-8 inches thick.
