Hi All - So, the prior owner of the house I just bought decided to paint the garage floor and the driveway. (Paint is already lifting off the garage floor when we park there).

One of the hard lines on my Range Rover sprung a leak! (Rangy was originally sold in NY, so its kinda rusty underneath even though its pretty on the outside), and I now have brake fluid on the painted driveway. Alas, its been there since yesterday.

My question is, what do you use to wash it off? If it were oil, I would use Dawn because it guts grease and oil really well. Not sure about brake fluid though.

Help would be appreciated.

Chris,
Brake fluid is soluble in water.
I would simply hose it down and use some Simple Green or similar.
I just hope it hasn't attacked the paint like it will on your car paint.

If it's a later RR then it's likely Dot 5 which is silicone based. It's not caustic but more of a hassle to clean off..

Simple green is your friend here- nothing stronger!
