The square hole in my overiders is not tight enough to hold mounting carriage bolt in place, kinda rounded instead of square. How to repair?Thinking of "JB WELD"ing bolt to overider, think this will hold bolt enough to get nut on?

No, I doubt it will be strong enough. Or, it will hold well enough to install the nut, but after a couple of years of corrosion, it will fail when you try to disassemble it.

Perhaps you should build up the rusted area by welding, and then grinding away the excess.

JB Weld is a great bonding agent. Metal to metal is a good application. Liquid nails is also good (3M marine bond).

Test out what you are intending to do on some spare metal...glue it let it cure and bang it around with a hammer, toss it off the roof, swing a bat...

You may be surprised!
