So what does this drain on a non sunroof car as it seems to drain from behind the badge .

Paul - The hole behind the roundel is likely for ventilation. The drain behind obviously picks up any water that gets through this opening. The drain extends fore and aft quite a ways, so I wonder if it also picks up any water that may leak through the rear window corner and the quarter window upper trim?

Check to see where the hose routes. If it goes into the rocker panel (most likely scenario) then reroute it to exit a new hole in the top of the wheel well or out behind the rear wheel well through the trunk floor (as is done for the rear sunroof drains). There may already be a hole for this in non-sun roof cars (on the floor just behind where the wheel arch passes the floor).

I put new hoses on them and rerouted them out the rear wheel arches.
