I have completed the draft layout. There are some typos and minor updates (no people, "Thursday", and producability edits) that are not reflected yet due to time contraints but the content is there. I think I have everything below in the order it will be printed / bound.

I took editorial liberty and added some collections. I also added an "Editor's Choice" award for the inside rear cover. IMHO this photo is perhaps the finest bit of photography submitted.

These images are small 1024x versions. The source files are coming in around 90Mbytes/page. This artwork also does not reflect a 0.25" white border which will be present. I would love to go border to border but it is a major cost (ant time) consideration.

I have settled on the Eurostile font. It seems to be a pretty close match to the 3.0 / 2800 trunk lettering. I've only got the basic version of this font, it anyone has more variations (narrow, wide, extended, black, etc.) I would be very interested. I looked at buying it but all I could find was a $250 package.

PLEASE REVIEW THIS DRAWINGS. IF THERE ARE ERRORS & TYPOS AT THE TIME WE PUBLISH IT IS EVERYONE'S FAULT!

THESE ARE NOT THE MONTHLY CARS, THEY ARE SIMPLY THE CALENDAR. I MAY CHANGE THE BACKGROUNDS BUT I WANTED TO SHARE THE TEMPLATES!

I have decided to attempt doing subtle watermark style underlays on the calender. My goal would be to use uniquely coupe images or some detail of the monthly feature car. What do you think?

I think it looks GREAT :)

Personally I would prefer having underlays (and indeed images for the actual calendar) that do not feature people

Thanks for the catch on Thursday. Fat fingers! - This has been fixed but I will post when (if) I have time to regenerate.

As for having no people - I tend to agree. Right now I only have one and I will change it. Now that the votes are in I have more material I can chose from. None of the winner have people (I think). I may also pixel-ate or blur tags and date codes. (PEOPLE GONE)

I also realize that I need to drop the Month and E9-DRIVEN logo down about 0.1 inches to better accommodate a spiral binding. This is very minor.

Keep checking back to this thread. I will be updating the initial post as I develop pages.

Collections remaining (opposite inside cover, oppisite back inside cover, and back inside cover). This will be completed with smaller images of "Runners Up" cars.

The calendar is going to be great. I'm going to have to increase my purchase commitment.

Thanks.

If you are noticing little "text" vestiges in th circle at top or bottom don't work. I will remove the circles before print time. They are reminders for me as to where the drilled holes will be.

The calendar artwork has all been created and posted (less some minor edits which will not be posted).

I still need to render all 30 some odd pages in 600dpi for the print shop and get a sample made. Each page file can be as large as 10-90Mbytes so this will be an interesting process.

Paying for the calendar

JJ,

Great looking work, thank you.

Maybe early days yet, but the best way for me to pay - out of the UK - would be via pay pal, along the lines of the site donations.

Maybe something to consider if it hasn't already been raised.

Regards

Payment will be easy. As soon as I know the exact price and I am ready to deal with orders I post instructions. I will be able to take PayPal, personal checks, and if needed bank transfers. My main objective is to finish up, get them printed and mailed. The money is a secondary consideration to me.
