Calibration of VDO gauges

My temperature gauge on my 1971 2800cs isn’t working, so was thinking about having both gauges recalibrated or reconditioned. Who does this? I’m in Colorado. Thanks.

Check for continuity in the wire from the sender to the gauge. Those gauges are very robust, as are the senders. If you have continuity, I would replace the sender before sending the gauge out to be repaired. The senders are standard VDO senders used on scores of vehicles. I'm sure I have at least one laying around here.

Thanks for the tip! I have no mechanical talent or acumen for that matter, but when I bring it in next for a spring checkup I’ll have them look at it.
