is it because it broke off your expansion tank? if so I have a good one that is just taking up space. Pay for shipping and its yours

i can not see the part to identify it
is it the lower support that goes welded to the bottom of the tank ?
are you able to weld it afterwards ?

Hi Stan,
You can't weld steel to brass. It must be brazed. That isn't necessarily a skill that all fabrication shops leverage. Fortunately radiator shops braze and solder all the time. It is a radiator shop that can test and seal your coolant tank. Ask the shop what they would charge to braze on the bracket.
Now given that the coolant tank has two brackets and you can't see the lower bracket when installed, you might just want to use a few dabs of JB Weld to secure the bracket. Nobody will ever see it and it should be equally as strong. If you do, I would file off the old solder from the area first.
